The third ever Grand Slam in sanctioned AHA play. Big Dan was already in contention for the lead when he was dealt an absolute mess. He decided to go for it and was very chagrined to see that David had passed him respect in the form of the 7 of hearts.

However, as is often the case in Grand Slams, disrespect plays a major role. This one was no exception as Dan took the first heart and proceeded to lead the 7. David, along with everyone else, was minus five whoring like mad and couldn't bring himself to take the equivalent of a 9 point trick. That went through and Big Dan was home free - The rest got laid down, which caused David, in particular, great angst. He proceeded to kick a nearby chair and upturn his couch in disgust.
